Had to leave before the final day, but the Amplify energy is still buzzing. In the middle of bold ideas, deep tech, and nonstop conversations, something grounded me. It reminded me that beyond strategy and scale, it’s about the stories we help tell, and the people behind them. Back home and reflecting on my whirlwind week at Amplify Print. Like any good trade show, I returned home with three full bags of samples and swatch books. I spent all day (literally) organizing the various pieces that we’ve gathered over the years from our own productions or that of the wonderful partners and vendors we work with every day.
Unlike many trade shows, however, I also returned home exhausted but utterly invigorated. The expo hall… the sessions… the people! Everything just brings me such joy! With each year that passes in this industry, I feel more excited for my future in it. And closer with the friends that I’ve made along the way - those brilliant minds that make this field feel like home. I’m so thankful that Tactive allows me to show up and be myself (and even encourages all my wild ideas).

We attended one of our favorite brand packaging conferences, Amplify Print, the must-attend print finishing and embellishment conference if you live and breathe brand packaging that delights consumers. Amplify is produced by the FSEA - Foil & Specialty Effects Association. Our hosts, Jeff and Gayla Peterson always assemble the boldest and brightest when it comes to the shimmery, shiny and touchy feely. Speaking of “touch”, we’re excited to hear Vicki Strull who will be presenting the findings of THE TOUCH ADVANTAGE: HOW PREMIUM PACKAGING AFFECTS SALES, a study she co-authored with Sappi and Clemson University that delves into exactly how touch influences what we buy and why. In the coming weeks, we’ll share about the key role Cog played in this extraordinary study.
