As the founder of PaperSpecs, the innovative (and bountiful) resource for creatives who love print and paper, Sabine reviews hundreds of beautiful and imaginative printed pieces annually. She shares her insights with the PaperSpecs family and through her videos, spotlights and educational programming – and many of these top-notch pieces feature some kind of embellishment. In this session, Sabine shares some trends she’s been seeing in print designs featuring more than ink on a substrate, and how these effects – everything from colorful metallics and holograms to 3-D effects and even anti-bacterial coatings – can amplify the message of the piece. You are sure to come away from this session with some fresh ideas and inspiration!

Metallic Decorating – Growing Applications and Technology (Determining the Best Choice for Your Design and Project)

Jeff will overview the different types of metallic decorating processes and share how each of those fit for specific applications and run lengths. He will outline the advantages and disadvantages of hot foil, cold foil, digital foil and foil laminated board, including a discussion of sustainability issues related to each of those processes. You won’t want to miss this in-depth presentation that helps define the options in metallic decorating.

Jeff’s session is followed immediately by a panel of industry experts, all of whom are involved with different metallic decorating and other embellishment processes.
